Siemens' introduction of its IoT-based smart building solutions at ISH 2023 in Frankfurt, Germany, marks a major shift in sustainable operations.

The cloud-based solutions and IoT-enabled products are designed to make buildings smarter, as well as improve health and safety, comfort and sustainability.

“Given the current challenges of climate change, the energy crisis and growing regulatory pressure, building stakeholders now need to urgently set the course to operate their buildings in a smarter way,” said Henning Sandfort, Siemens’ building products CEO. “We continuously innovate and enhance our portfolio, embracing new technologies to make buildings a better place for all stakeholders and optimize their climate footprint at the same time.”

Both small and medium-sized businesses, as well as buildings and campuses can benefit from the products.

At the show, the company will also display its smart automation solutions for the first time, aimed at helping building operators install smart building technology at scale.

The latest iteration of Siemens’ building automation system, Desigo, will also be showcased, demonstrating enhanced cybersecurity features.
