CES 2025: What to Expect in Robotics, AI, Autonomy and Smart Things
More than 135,000 attendees and 4,000 exhibitors are expected to fill the Las Vegas Convention Center
CES, the annual technology mega trade show, starts in Las Vegas this weekend with all the latest in robotics, artificial intelligence and mobility, along with highlights of all the new technology consumers can expect to see over the next year.
More than 135,000 attendees and 4,000 exhibitors are expected to fill the Las Vegas Convention Center and hotel venues across town hosting the event.
As at every CES, keynote presentations feature technology luminaries, including the leaders of Nvidia, Waymo, Panasonic and X Corp., and heads of major brands, including The Volvo Group and Delta Air Lines.
Innovations of all types are expected involving autonomous driving, AI, networks and communications, wearables, smart homes and smart everything.
At Eureka Park, more than 1,400 startups plan to present their work and hopes for the future.
Announcements from Bosch, John Deere, LG Electronics, AMD, Hisense, Siemens, Toyota, Samsung and Sony are expected, with all on the agenda along with new AI-centric hardware from Advanced Micro Devices, Nvidia and Qualcomm.

At every CES, companies introduce new and coming products to sellers and distributors in hopes that the products will be appealing for the group to place orders.
Although CES features many consumer products, consumers do not attend, since it is a business-to-business conference and exhibition.
Security is also expected to be tight, especially in the wake of the Tesla Cybertruck explosion, as we wrote about earlier this week.
Robotics continue to maintain a strong presence at CES, as their prominence has grown over the years. For example, Richtech Robotics plans to feature robotics for use in the hospitality and health care industries. In addition to showing robots that can make drinks, the company is featuring autonomous delivery robots, a growing field.
There also will be AI-enabled robots that print custom phone cases in 90 seconds, robots that serve popcorn and even one for cotton candy.
Siemens and Sony are teaming to show a head-mounted display using the Siemens NX software to enable content creation for the industrial metaverse.
A wide range of digital technologies is expected, such as a digital collaborator using generative AI from Knovva, smart glasses using MedaCare technology to help dementia patients with memory and AI-powered document editing by Polaris Office and FloLive featuring the major cellular network for IoT connectivity.
Sensors and machine learning are being combined, such as the Pickpad, smart order pickup system for retailers and restaurant operators.
A wide range of AI-enabled products will be introduced. These range from an AI-powered smart spice dispenser from Spicerr to an AI-powered hotel scheduled to open in Las Vegas in March 2025 by Otonomus Hotel.
Companies will showcase technology that promises to revolutionize something, which it often does not, while other products will hit it big.
CES helps the market decide the winners.
