Rockwell Automation Unveils New Customer Experience Center
Located in Singapore, Rockwell designed the center to showcase the latest smart manufacturing solutions, leveraging AI, robotics and virtual reality
Rockwell Automation has unveiled a new customer experience center (CEC) in Singapore, showcasing AI, robotics and virtual reality (VR) innovations as the nation looks to automate industries such as mining, manufacturing and heavy industry.
Rockwell said the CEC will showcase new smart manufacturing solutions for targeted industries in Southeast Asia, and demonstrate its potential to customers.
"Our new experience center reflects our dedication to pushing the boundaries of industrial innovation,” Marcelo Tarkieltaub, Rockwell’s regional director for Southeast Asia said at the center’s inauguration. “It offers an immersive experience for our customers to envision the future of manufacturing and automation,
“From AI to VR and robotics, industry leaders will witness firsthand the transformative power of technology in shaping the future of industry."
The CEC is located alongside Rockwell’s largest manufacturing facility in the Asia Pacific region, meaning visitors can experience Rockwell’s current and future manufacturing technologies side-by-side.
Students will also be able to access the facility to get hands-on experience with smart manufacturing technologies, as the region looks to train a new workforce for Industry 4.0.
The center’s opening comes as manufacturing in Southeast Asia is set for a boom, with a steady rise in the deployment of automation technologies leading to increased output and operational efficiencies.
"With the growing adoption of AI and a strong manufacturing base, Southeast Asia is well-positioned to lead in smart manufacturing for the rest of the decade,” said Tarkieltaub. “According to the eighth edition of our State of Smart Manufacturing Report, nearly half (44%) of APAC manufacturers plan to adopt smart manufacturing within the next year."
