Industrial components developer Igus is showcasing its latest technologies at this year’s Hannover Messe, taking place April 22-26.

One of the products the company is unveiling is IgusGO, an AI-powered cloud platform to automate and streamline the maintenance and production processes for Industry 4.0.

Users simply take a picture of the asset they want to optimize and the app will suggest products to streamline its operation.

According to a company statement, the app is designed to redefine sustainable industrial automation alongside its series of smart sensor technologies by helping businesses find and deploy the best solutions for their systems.

"Our aim with igusGO and our suite of smart products is to navigate the vast potential of motion plastics with unprecedented efficiency and transparency," said Tobias Vogel, igus’ CEO.

Igus will also display its plug-and-play collaborative robot (cobot), ReBeL, at this year’s event.

Igus says ReBeL is a lightweight robot made of high-performance plastic, that “opens up completely new fields of application for service robotics.” Potential applications include its use as a reliable coffee enricher for the event and gastronomy environment or a machine loader in manufacturing.
