Wing and Walmart have expanded drone delivery in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The two companies have launched drone delivery service from two North Richland Hills Walmart Supercenters in the area, marking the third and fourth stores where Wing and Walmart have jointly launched drone delivery. The move is part of Walmart's goal to provide drone delivery to 75% of the Dallas-Fort Worth population.

Wing is owned by Google’s parent company Alphabet.

The launch comes seven months after the two companies teamed to deliver orders from two other Dallas-area stores.

In January Walmart announced it was expanding its drone delivery reach with a new partnership that will offer drone delivery to nearly 75% of residents in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, a move the company said will give it “the largest drone delivery footprint of any U.S. retailer.”

Walmart now has drone delivery available from four locations in the region including 9101 N Tarrant Parkway in North Richland Hills, 6401 NE Loop 820, North Richland Hills, 801 W Main St. in Lewisville and 8555 Preston Road in Frisco.

Drone delivery lets Walmart customers receive items within 30 minutes and some in as little as 10 minutes. That is on top of the company’s express delivery, offering deliveries within three hours as well as late-night delivery until 10 p.m. and an in-home option delivered to a customer’s refrigerator.
