Maritime Drone Maker Expands
Tekever partners with unmanned aerial vehicle provider Precision Integrated Programs
Portuguese maritime drone developer Tekever is expanding to the U.S. market thanks to a new commercial partnership with Precision Integrated Programs, a provider of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The deal will see Precision support U.S. and international companies across operations training, maintenance and commercial support for Tekever’s drone products.
Tekever CEO Ricardo Mendes said the pair of companies “share a relentless obsession for providing customers with a service that is simple, effective and hides away the tremendous technical and operational complexity.”
“We’re now open for business in the U.S., and we’re looking forward to starting operations immediately across the country, as well as supporting international operations from the US,” he added.
The pair signed the agreement to work with one another at the recent AUVSI Xponential event in Orlando, Florida.
Other news from the Portuguese company that came out of Xponential saw it unveil vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) capabilities for its AR3 unit and a strategic partnership with Scorpio Investment Holding Ltd., parent company behind the tanker firm of the same name.
Tekever’s units are designed for maritime use – providing naval authorities with surveillance and intelligence options, scanning for illegal boats or enemy units.
