Jaguar Land Rover and Nvidia are joining forces to develop AI-powered autonomous driving and connected services for future vehicles.

Under the partnership, software experts from both companies plan to jointly develop next-generation automated driving systems along with AI-enabled services and experiences.

Starting in 2025, all new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles are to be built on the Nvidia Drive software-defined platform to deliver automated driving and parking systems, and driver assistance systems. It will also deliver AI features inside the vehicle including driver and occupant monitoring and an advanced visualization system.

The platform is based on the Nvidia Drive Hyperion platform, which features Drive Orin centralized AV computers, Drive AV and Drive IX software, as well as safety, security and networking systems.

Collaborating with Nvidia is essential to the company “realizing its Reimagine strategy to set new benchmarks in quality, technology and sustainability,” said Thierry Bolloré, Jaguar Land Rover CEO.

“Our long-term strategic partnership with Nvidia will unlock a world of potential for our future vehicles as the business continues its transformation into a truly global, digital powerhouse,” Bolloré said.

Jaguar Land Rover’s Reimagine strategy includes electrifying both brands as the company moves to achieve net-zero carbon emissions across its operations by 2039.
