EVTOL Cargo Drones Sold to Solve Logistics Challenges
Moya’s eVTOLs were purchased by geo information tech company to be outfitted with image-capturing equipment
Fototerra, a Brazilian geo information technology company, has signed a letter of intent to purchase 10 Moya Aero eVTOLs (electric vertical takeoff and landing) craft.
Moya’s eVTOLs are autonomous cargo drones that can carry up to 440 pounds and have a travel range of 68 miles. The all-electric autonomous, high-capacity cargo drone was developed to solve logistic challenges and can reach places difficult to access.
The eVTOLs Fototerra is purchasing will be outfitted with specific equipment to capture images, showcasing the craft’s versatility.
Fototerra plans to use the eVTOLs for digital aerial photogrammetry, hyperspectral digital aero photogrammetry, lidar surveys and environmental observation.
"We designed out Moya eVTOL for different missions,” said Alexandre Zaramela, Moya Aero CEO. “We can adapt the vehicle to attend various segments,"
Fototerra expects to add the Moya eVTOLs to its operations in 2026.
The Fototerra is the latest deal for Moya, which recently announced signing a letter of intent with Canadian air cargo startup N2 Infrastructure Technologies to purchase four Moya Aero eVTOLs.
