Virtual Avatars Could Change the Future of Retail
DeepBrain AI’s life-like virtual avatars can respond to customer questions and solve problems

DeepBrain AI is using life-like virtual avatars that use conversational AI to emulate human interactions in customer service scenarios. The company introduced its AI Kiosk at NRF 2022.
The company’s AI Kiosk uses human-based AI avatars that can inform, solve and guide users through thousands of possible scenarios and real-time interactions. They respond to customer queries in exactly the same way as real store clerks, but from within e-commerce portals or extended reality displays in unmanned retail stores.
The avatars can also give customers information on discounts, newly-stocked items and the backstory behind the AI Kiosk platform.
DeepBrain AI CEO Eric Jang said he expects some dramatic changes in the commerce industry after the pandemic ends. “I believe they could come from AI and these innovations will affect various fields like retail, e-commerce and live commerce,” he said.
Last November DeepBrain AI unveiled its zero-touch kiosks for use in 7-Eleven convenience stores at the AI Summit.
