Unitree’s G1 humanoid robot’s latest update makes it the smoothest walking and running humanoid in the world, the company said.
Every month the company rolls out updates. A video shows the latest in action.
Unitree unveiled the G1 humanoid robot last May releasing a video showcasing its flexibility and dexterity.
The AI-enabled robot has 360-degree joints and boasts up to 43 degrees of freedom to give it high levels of dexterity. Its hands have “force-position hybrid control” enabling it to simulate human hands and precisely handle objects.
Smaller than Unitree’s previous models, the GI weighs 103 pounds and stands at around 50 inches. It can also be folded down to 27 x 17.7 x 11.8 inches, according to company specifications, making it more portable.
The G1 joined Unitree’s H1 robot, a larger scale model that measures nearly 6 feet. Last March it broke the humanoid robot speed record 7.3 mph.
