An updated version of the Pebble Flow has been revealed at CES.

The cool-looking electric RV trailer gathered plenty of attention at last year’s CES, when its maker, California start-up Pebble, announced it would be equipped with Nvidia’s Drive Orin system-on-a-chip to give it semi-autonomous functionality.

Twelve months down the line, Pebble has unveiled a slightly revised version of the Flow which it claims shows its “production-intent.”

Most of the key features remain, including the 45 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, with 1.1 kW solar array support, which allows for off-grid adventures for up to seven days.

The enhancements essentially cover some cosmetic updates to the exterior, plus redesigned elements of the interior which make it easier to use, as well as additional cameras at the front, rear and sides for improved maneuvering and a slightly re-engineered drivetrain system.

It’s arguably the drivetrain that is of most interest, because that is what makes two of the Flow’s key features – Magic Hitch and Remote Control – possible.

Magic Hitch is claimed to ensure effortless hitching, courtesy of an automated process that attaches the trailer to a tow vehicle at the touch of a button.

Remote Control, meanwhile, allows the Pebble Flow to be remotely parked or maneuvered into tight spots once unhitched by using the Pebble smartphone app.

The Flow offers further automated functionality in the shape of InstaCamp, which deploys or retracts the stairs, stabilizers or all-terrain levelers.

Pebble is also highlighting the advanced AI capabilities and computing power facilitated by the Nvidia chip, with the potential for future over-the-air updates meaning the Flow can regularly be improved with new features.

The enhancements from the Flow of 2024 have come about following extensive testing and feedback from a panel of more than 3,000 members – apparently made up of “digital nomads, young families, retirees, and tech enthusiasts” — who worked with Pebble’s designers and engineers to identify key areas for improvement.

“The production-intent Pebble Flow marks a significant milestone in our journey to redefine RV travel,” said Bingrui Yang, Pebble’s founder and CEO. “This process has been about addressing the real challenges RVers face while incorporating thoughtful design and cutting-edge features.”

Pebble said production will start shortly, with the first deliveries in spring. Prices start at $109,500 with an option to upgrade to a Magic Pack for $135,000, which gives access to some of the advanced automated features.
