Bosch eBike Updates Make System Even Smarter
The company announced a series of updates for its eBike, including integration with wearables and automatic data display
Bosch has announced new updates to its eBike’s smart system, including an automatic changing screen layout, new fitness and health features and more customization options.
As part of the updates, users can now see relevant riding data, including heart rate, performance data and elevation graphs on both the bike’s smart screen as well as the ride screen of the eBike Flow app.
The new smart screen also automatically changes depending on the riding situation and can be linked with a user’s smartwatch or other health care wearables.
Bosch said the updates mean riders can see “the most important information at all times.”
“For example, the system recognizes inclines and then displays your personal performance, cadence and the elevation covered,” according to a company statement. “Speed, distance traveled and range overview can be seen when riding on the flat.”
When the eBike is stationary, the system automatically shows a summary of ride data, including average speed, distance traveled and trip time.
Bosch has identified mobility as its biggest business sector, with a renewed focus on integrating smart technologies and automation into its products.
Main areas of activity for the company’s mobility section include electrification, vehicle safety systems, driver-assistance and automated functions, technology for user-friendly infotainment and vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication.
