Service Robot Offers Personalized Interactions
Pudu Robotics’ updated AI-enabled BellaBot pro can identify dishes and products, and autonomously navigate its environment
Service robot developer Pudu Robotics has launched the latest iteration of its smart service robot, BellaBotPro.
The AI-powered design can engage in personalized customer interactions, identify dishes and products, and autonomously navigate its environment.
Its screen display also allows for digital marketing and advertising capabilities, turning it into a “mobile promotion platform.”
The screen can also be used to display facial expressions, and the robot comes with an adaptable appearance and voices to create personalized, interactive experiences for customers.
Pudu said it plans to update BellaBot to identify and recognize particular customer gestures, such as waving, further enhancing customer-robot interaction.
Initially launched in 2019, BellaBot has been deployed by brands such as Pizza Hut, KFC and Walmart to deliver orders, promote menu items and products, and welcome guests.
Pudu said the new model comes as the retail and hospitality industries increasingly turn to automation and AI to alleviate labor shortages.
“We are at an automation and robotics tipping point across the economy,” said Felix Zhang, Pudu Robotics’ CEO. “Pudu Robotics aims to develop robots which improve the efficiency of human production and living, and our service robots are used throughout the world.”
