Family robotics company Enabot showcased its latest family robot companion, Ebo X, at CES 2023. The robotic system acts as a one-stop shop for household robotics needs, including home security, remote communication, and home entertainment.

Described by Enabor as a “smart guardian,” Ebo X uses AI face recognition, fall detection and geo-mapping capabilities to create a holistic home security system. These features can help users check in on elderly or young family members who may be home alone, alerting a user when someone enters a “restricted” area, or when they have fallen.

The Ebo X also comes equipped with a four-microphone sensor array, allowing the system to identify someone crying or calling for help, and call users via WhatsApp in response. Users can also call loved ones using Ebo X’s two-way communication system, with the connected home app allowing users to log in and chat online in real time.

The two-wheeled robot has a self-balancing design that allows it to roam about the house freely and can identify and avoid obstacles to avoid damage to itself or its surroundings.

According to Enabot, its mission is to improve lives with “intelligent family bots…By connecting people, we are dedicated to promoting love, companionship and sharing.”

Ebo X was named a CES 2023 “Innovation Awards Honoree” in both the smart home and robotics product categories.
