Two tech companies have launched an AI-enabled training platform for athletes, offering immediate, real-time insight and feedback into a user’s performance.

Created by sports tech start-up BeONE Sports and software engineering company MobiDev, the BeONE Sports AI Comparative Training platform uses ‘human pose estimation technology’ (HPE) to monitor a user’s movements and create personalized insights to improve performance.

The partners said the new platform “changes the game” by offering athletes a “data-driven approach to training”, as well as democratizing access to high-level athletic training, making it all available via a mobile app.

"We are thrilled to provide this revolutionary platform to athletes worldwide,” said Scott Deans, BeONE Sports’ CEO. “Coaches and athletes now have an AI-based tool they need to get the most out of every training session.

“MobiDev is our official partner that helps embody ideas for improving sports training into a user-friendly software product."

The HPE technology works by identifying key body points and tracking movement patterns, comparing a user’s performance to a database of elite athletes’ movements and offering recommendations based on the comparison.

"The BeONE Sports AI Comparative Training platform is a breakthrough product that we continue to develop by fundraising,” said Deans. “By downloading our mobile application, anyone can count on the help of the best athletes and AI technologies in their training.”
