Avnet Debuts IoT Platform, Embedded World 2024
The platform will be demonstrated on hardware from companies including Panasonic, AWS and STMicroelectronics
Avnet, an electronic hardware and services provider, is set to exhibit its new IoTConnect platform at this year’s Embedded World conference, taking place this week, April 9-11 in Nuremberg, Germany.
Avnet will demonstrate the platform operating on hardware from manufacturers including STMicroelectronics, Renesas, NXP, Microchip, Espressif, Infineon, Panasonic and Arduino at the event.
Use cases include renewable energy management, AI-enhanced smart city infrastructures, industrial automation and crowd monitoring.
Avnet will showcase IoTConnect deployed in STMicroelectronics’ hybrid solar inverter system for smart energy management, AWS’ chip-to-cloud EV charging solution and Panasonic’s BLE-enabled sensors for collecting environmental data.
IoTConnect can be tailored for different applications. The IoTConnect software development kits, optimized by Avnet spin-off Witekio, are designed to integrate with IoT cloud service providers such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
“These exhibits demonstrate how IoTConnect provides OEMs with a cloud-ready solution via pre-enablement across hardware and software,” Avnet wrote in a press release. “IoTConnect delivers pre-integrated, fully supported scalable solutions for OEMs deploying cloud-connected IoT applications in high volume.”
